Thank You for Being Part of the inQlusive Reach Journey

To Our Valued Community, Clients, and Partners:

Earlier this year, inQlusive Reach was founded with a clear, heartfelt mission: to build a care and daily living service model designed for the community, by the community.  We set out to create inclusive, dignified support while bridging critical gaps in care for Two-Spirit, Gay, Queer, Trans, and allied community members.

Over the past eight months, together, we proved what community-led care can achieve. Thanks to our incredible team of Ambassadors:

  • We provided vital in-home care, system navigation, and daily living support to over 25 community members located in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.

  • We helped 2SLGBTQIA+ seniors live independently, assisted individuals transitioning into care or returning from the hospital, and supported members of our community during hospital procedure and gender-affirming care recovery.

  • We provided over $2,000 in subsidies to make care accessible for those in need, while generating over $11,000 in direct income for our Ambassadors.

While the need and impact of this work have been undeniable, operating a standalone, independent service model of this nature has proven financially unsustainable. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to wind down our operations.

We are deeply proud of what we accomplished together, and our commitment to inclusive care for our community does not end here.

Continuing Your Care & Service Options:

To ensure ongoing support for our clients and opportunities for care providers, we are directing our community to trusted partners:

For Ongoing Care & Daily Support Services:

  • Our community operating partner, Tuktu, continues to offer flexible, high-quality community support services. You can explore available services or request care directly through tuktu.ca or by calling them at 1-866-938-8588. Several of our inQlusive Ambassadors will be transitioning to the Tuktu platform as providers there to be available for you.

For Volunteer-Based Support:

  • If you or a loved one are seeking volunteer-based peer support or support with navigation of services, we encourage you to reach out to Queer Aging BC (QABC) at queeragingbc.ca or by emailing them at info@queeragingbc.ca.

A Final Note of Gratitude 💜

To our clients who trusted us in your homes, our incredible Ambassadors who brought compassion to every visit, and every community member who advocated for us—thank you. You showed us the true strength and resilience of our community.

With deep gratitude,

inQlusive Reach Team
